I got my Frontier in early January, it was left over on the dealers lot and i knew i could get a great deal on it.
I choose the basic truck because i wanted somthing simple and cheap that could withstand 30K miles a year.
The standard 2.4 4cyl engine has enough get up and go for me, but alot of people find it slow, especillay with the automatic. Mine has the 5-speed manual and it shifts well, and makes the best of the 2.4 engine. It handles well, as I have gotten it up to 55 mph on some very curvy roads. It also rides as well as most family sedans.. It gets near 30 mpg. on the highway and 25 around town, wich is decent, but i wish it had a bigger gas tank. Overall it drives more like a car than a truck.
My truck is the extended cab and not a 4-door model. This is fine for me as I usualy only carry one other passanger. The am/fm/cd player sounds well for a basic truck and the overall noise level is good for this price level. The seats are extermly comfortable, I drove to atlanta and i wasn't even sore (its a 4 hour drive). The a/c works well and cools the cabin quickly and with no fuss. The only thing wrong is that mine has a funky smell that nobody can get rid of.
Overall I enjoy this truck and would recomend it over any other compact pickup truck.
