I am very disappointed in the long term durability of this vehicle. Oldsmobile let down their standards is manufacturing this vehicle. The interior is cheaply installed, with thin plastic door coatings. The inside liner of the sun roof appears to be thick construction paper. The stereo volume increases and decreases with speed variance, however, does not do so in small increments. The volume does not easily adjust manually for preferred listening pleasure either. The small size of the gas tank is also a deterrent. I have to fill up the tank much more frequently than I am used to. Something I enjoy about the Alero is the engine performance. It offers above average power, while, for a 3.8 liter engine, get remarkably decent gas mileage. I enjoy driving the car but wonder when it will start falling apart! Lastly, I am very upset by the low re-sale value of this vehicle. The model I purchased (GL2) has dropped $9,000 in value in the last ten months since I bought it.
