So much has been written about the details of this car that you do not need to hear them again from me. I have had the S model for about 2 months, and I am very pleased with it. It has much more leg and head room than my former Corolla had. My 6'0" and 5'4" kids even tell me that they have a lot of room in the back seat. I had to convince the dealer that Toyota, in fact, packages the S model without the alloy wheels and rear spoiler. The dealer tried very hard to sell me one on its lot that had those expensive additions, but after I informed the dealer that I had found a couple of S models meeting my specifications at other dealers, they arranged to get me one from a different dealership. I wanted the S model for the nice touches such as the chrome finish, leather wrapped steering wheel, and the charcoal gray interior. I got the car for $15,100.
Note that the model year is 2003. I was required to select a model year, and the newest model year available on epinion's drop-down list was 2002.
Other good features, the trunk has a lot of room and the stereo/CD player is super. Mine is an automatic, and it has a decent amount of power/pick-up. I do not notice much engine noise, the gas mileage is very good, and the ride is extremely comfortable for a compact. With styling more like a german car, it "turn heads."
I got over 200,000 miles on my last Corolla. Hopefully this one will get 300,000.
