Usually, car shopping is about as fun as a doctor performing open heart surgery on you with a rusty butter knife, but buying my Matrix was actually a pleasant experience. My salesperson was knowledgeable and considerate, and I feel that I got the best deal that was possible.

As for the car, it is wonderful. It is very fun and easy to drive. It handles very well, and unlike most small cars, it doesn't start shaking when you get past 60 mph. I have two growing children, and they have plenty of room in the back seat. The hatchback is very functional. I am a college student and I am alway carrying around tons of books as well as a laptop; this is in addition to my children's assorted school bags and books. Everything fits. It gets pretty good gas mileage, especially considering I used to drive a Blazer.

Best of all, I get compliments everywhere I go.
