Pros: STYLE, ROOMINESS, SPORTINESS, GAS MILEAGE, EFFICIENCY, LOW MAINTENANCE, COMFORT, NEED I SAY MORE
Cons: NO LONGER BEING PRODUCED
When searching for a family car, my husband and I always look for 10 important things:
1: 4 door family car
3: easy on our budget
5: great on gas mileage
7: something with room for 2 growing boys
9: something easy to travel in on long trips
We fell in love with the DODGE INTREPID many years ago.
When we bought our first Intrepid ES (1995), we loved the styling, the gas mileage, the interior room, especially the leg room in the back seat. We drove the 95 for quite some time, and then began to think of the need for a new car.
We didn't really look far, DODGE INTREPID!!
When we located the 2004 model that we now own, it still offered all the same things that we needed. After having driven it and having ridden in it, we have come to the conclusion that the 2004 model has even more leg room in the backseat...the front and back seats are more comfortable...seems to have more stretching out room.
The most wonderful thing about the Intrepid is the "get up and go", the gas mileage, the styling (looks like sports car - for the entire family) hehe - the roominess, the comfort, the affordability, the sportiness, the quiet ride, the suspension (very smooth ride), OKAY - OKAY
Maybe I can't just name one wonderful thing.
If you are looking for a vehicle with the styling of a sports car, the luxury of a luxury car, the efficiency of a mini car, and roominess then you need look no further :
2004 Dodge Intrepid is a wonderful car to drive and ride.
In our experience the INTREPID is very low maintenance.
We owned the 95 model for 9 years, and it was only put into the shop on 2 occasions. Due to malfunction (early on) of the transmission (which Chrysler took care of).
We've only owned the 2004 for 5 months, we purchased it used, from an elderly gentleman and lady, (7,429 miles)
and the vehicle still has warranty until 2001 or 75,000 miles. We were blessed in finding this vehicle.
We have yet to have any ill experience with this Intrepid.
Based on the record of our last Intrepid (95), I do not expect to have any problems with this one (2004).
Another thing we like about driving DODGE vehicles is the service that we receive from DODGE/CHRYSLER. We've had a very good relationship with everyone we've spoken to at
DAIHMER CHRYSLER and at any Dodge dealership that we've visited..
I don't know what we'll do when we decide to purchase another vehicle, seeing as how Dodge no longer makes the INTREPID.
