WE purchased our 2004 Camry SE in late 2003. It was a sports edition with the rear spoiler. It drove pretty well except for the responsiveness, but we were spoiled by a 340HP Nissan at the time. The shifting is not so seamless. It handles very well and the gas mileage is great. It is roomy and comfortable on the inside, even in the back with a car load. The trunk is a good sized trunk with plenty of space and the rear seats let down to carry longer items. It is a great family car and excellent for vacations. It has had NO major repairs and if you keep up the maintance, I would not expect any major problems. It is practically care free. The moon roof was one of the only small problems we had and then we had a work around to overcome the problem. It would not close all the way, but if you slowly move it closer and closer to being shut you will have no problems. The interior is nice. The turning radius and parking ability is unbeatable for a sedan. I question the paint job on these Toyotas and wonder if it is cheap paint or a new method. Our paint job scratches quickly and right down to the primer. Usually it takes a bit more than that to get to the primer and you should not be able to scrape it off with your finger nail. No major gripes.
