Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros:Elizabeth Hurley, wearing small, tight outfits.
Cons:The Devil is not on the screen every moment of this film.
The Bottom Line: Rent this just for the scene where Elizabeth Hurley shows up in a bathing suit. Yowza!
Elizabeth Hurley is shown far to little in this film. That is the main thing wrong with Bedazzled. But thankfully, Elizabeth "The best thing to ever come out of England" Hurley, does make a bunch of appearances in either very small outfits, or very tight outfits, and sometimes, a combination of them both.

Elizabeth Hurley plays the Devil in Bedazzled, on a mission to try to get someone condemned to eternal damnation by selling their soul to her. Who she chooses is total misfit, computer customer service geek, Elliot. Played by Brendan Fraser, who has an enormous crush on a girl he works with, who doesn't even really know he exists.
During an embarrassing night out with his co-workers who were unable to successfully ditch him, Elliot meets up with the Devil. She plays pool, and to watch her play with those balls and stick, is a thing of beauty. She works wonders with the stick in her hand. Clearly, only the Devil could make shots like that. Early disbelief of the identity of the Devil leads her and Elliot off on an adventure to get a Big Mac and Coke, and then to a night club, which is her office.
Of course, Elliot signs an enormous contract to sell his soul to the Devil in exchange for 7 wishes. Why he doesn't actually read the contract is beyond me. It would seem to me that if one were facing eternal damnation, one might want to be informed of all the aspects of the contract. (This is the scene where you will see the Devil wears red panties, as her dress opens a bit as she walks around her desk, get DVD so you can zoom in)
As the film goes on, we watch as Elliot makes his wishes, and the Devil screws them up by having her own little fun ruining his dreams. She does this by filling in the little not mentioned details with her own little things which are guaranteed to ruin his plans. Which, in turn, will lead him to page the devil, and make another wish, using up his wishes so she can give him all 7 of his wishes and then get his soul.
For example, she fills in the details Elliot leaves out. When he wishes he wants to be married to the woman of his dreams, he never mentioned she was supposed to be faithful. It is little things like this that she just keeps throwing in. All the while telling him how much she likes him, and how she wants his wishes to work out.
This whole concept works, because we see Elliot in various situations which are ridiculous, and we can't wait to see how she is going to screw it up for him.
The movie is enjoyable and funny to watch, but it can't help but make you wonder, why doesn't he get incredibly specific?
Elliot tries, but he still leaves so many things out, that the devil is free to do as she pleases to booby trap Elliot's wished for life. Elliot should have gotten out a pen and some paper and written everything down, leaving no loopholes for the devil to screw up his life. But he doesn't. Perhaps men just manage to lose all intelligent thought when they see Elizabeth Hurley. (How else does one explain the former Mr. Elizabeth Hurley going to a prostitute?)
I also found myself wondering, why doesn't he wish to be her partner? She's very beautiful, has a job which she looks to enjoy greatly, and she seems to pay a lot more attention to him than his dream girl does.
Overall, Fraser does a good job portraying a stupid, meek nerdy guy, who we do manage to really feel bad for. Elizabeth Hurley does excellent playing the naughty Devil.
That British Accent certainly works well.
So if you haven't seen this film yet, you're wondering, does he use all his wishes and go to hell? Or does he somehow hire a good lawyer, and get off like Puff Daddy?
I'm not telling, but it is worth watching to find out. So go watch it, and find yourself wondering after: Would you sell your soul?
