My 401 was with Fidelity for like 8 to 10 years. There was some room for improvement... I suppose, but not much. It would have been nice to have had more investment choices. Also, they had this strange problem with buying straight company stock for your portfolio. They would create this company stock mutual fund to do this...which, obviously, gives zero diversification but makes it hard to determine your stock holdings value by mearly getting the stock price and multiplying it by your number of shares. The fund share price was nothing close to the stock price. But other than these piddling inconveniences; Fidelity was Great.
The Funds were very good. The statements were timely and well executed. The people on the other end of the phone seemed to have a good idea about what was going on and how they could help you.
My Corporation merged with another large Corporation recently and somebody decided that we should go with the other guys 401 Outfit. That was Putnum. Man-Oh-Man! Do I miss Fidelity!
