DHL will quote you a good rate. Too bad it makes no difference.
The first package shipped with them they lost. Then the refund did not cover the cost of replacing it.
After shipping with DHL for about a year, they suddenly put the account on credit hold. When they were contacted they said that they had been sending invoices and that they were not being paid. Fact is they are on auto deduction from the bank and were not sending any invoices, and had deducted the amount due them every single time and were owed nothing.
When they did finally send the invoices, the invoices showed not only that they were attempting to double bill, but that they were also trying to charge much more than the amount the contract called for (full retail rate). The negotiated rates were meaningless.
Now that they are not getting their double billing plus extra over contract rate, they have put the account on cash only. Not only do they not accept any packages charged to that account, but they also refuse to deliver packages charged on other people's accounts if that account's address shows up on the label. So they have now spread the cash only requirement from just me to my customers and suppliers as well.
Then they turned over the account to a collection agency in an attempt to extort the payment of the double billing. Fortunately the collection agency has people there who are not all total idiots, and have admitted that the entire claim is bogus and is not pursuing it at all.
Don't ship with this company. You will regret it if you do.
