Pros: My package was delivered on Christmas day! USPS beats the pants off UPS.
Cons: None that I can think of.
The following incident just blew my mind, and I just had to share it.
I run a small business, and I shipped an item via Priority mail on Monday December 19th. The customer intended the item as a Christmas gift to her granddaughter, and I had hopes that it would arrive before Christmas, but I didn't guarantee to the customer that it would, realizing the post office must have a glut of holiday packages. As of Saturday 12/24 (xmas eve) the package still hadn't arrived, so I, and my customer were a bit disappointed.
The following day, something happened that I consider somewhat of a Christmas miracle. Here is the text of the actual email I received from the customer:
merry christmas. you will not believe this.
this morning, just when we were about to open presents the mailman came to the door with your package. honestly. sunday. christmas day. ... anyway, i just thought you would like to know how well received your package was.
I still can't believe someone from the USPS delivered my package on Christmas morning.
Not only that, with Click-n-Ship I can print labels and postage from home, and even schedule a free pickup for the next day. UPS doesn't even come close when it comes to service or price.
Needless to say, I'm a fervent USPS customer now.
