modernmarvel's Full Review: Hewlett Packard A-B USB Cable c6518a, 2m (075802) ...
I recently purchased a HP Pavilion Home Computer and a HP deskjet printer. The package I purchased did not include the USB cable to connect the printer to the computer. Since I had purchased two HP machines, and my printer packaging recommended a specific HP part number, I decided to buy a HP cable. However, USB cables are supposed to be standard so, in theory, you could use any brand.
Unfortunately, the part recommended in the printer's instructions was not to be found. However, I chose this HP cable instead and it works perfectly.
WHAT YOU GET
This is a standard cable that works with newer computers to attach hardware via USB ports. If your computer is more than a couple years old, you may not have USB ports, so check before you order. This cable is gray and comes in various lengths (this particular one is 2 meters), so you can choose what length works best for you.
For those who are extra detail-orientated: the cable unfurled quickly after opening the package, it wraps around corners easily, it does not curl up, it is a medium gray color with blue undertones and is generally sturdy and functional.
PRICE
I bought this cable through hpshopping.com for $19.99 plus 4.99 shipping.
WARRANTY
According to the packaging, there is a 5 year warranty.
FINAL RECOMMENDATION
It is a little hard to get excited about a cable. However, it was a necessary piece of equipment and it works just fine.
