I work for a Law Office in a rural setting where you set your garbage out at the corner. Due to this way of garbage removal we choose to buy a paper shredder from Quill Corp. We choose this particular paper shredder because it was a name brand shredder. HOWEVER, we had to return two of them because the sensor broke in both of them in less than two months. This sensor is in the middle of the slot where you put the paper to be shred. In both instances the sensor got 'stuck' in the machine causing the Automatic shredder to stick and to run constantly. Fellowes was very prompt in replacing both shredders, but we ended up buying a cheaper shredder at Kmart and using that one. (It ended up being much quieter too, but it was a strip-cut shredder.) My opinion is that is ended up causing more grief than being a blessing to the office.
