| lgelb's Full Review: Apple iMac Blue Dalmatian 15 in. (M8347LL/A) Mac D... |
Now that the G4s are out, prices on the older iMacs should fall. If you get a chance to pick up this one for a reasonable price, do it.
You know the basics. Graphite color, cube design, speakers, built in modem, headphone jack, teensy keyboard. USB ports. You'll need adapters to use peripherals using different networking protocols.
I'm still planning to buy a new keyboard, though. The F keys on this one are too small; there's only one delete key and the keyboard moves around too much. And we replaced the original mouse with a Contour mouse and mousepad. Contour also makes a platform for the monitor if you need it; we already had one.
If you don't know why you should buy a Mac, I won't have room to tell you here. And if you know Macs, you know why you should buy one. So what is there to say? Maybe just that a year or so ago, this was the top of the line iMac. And that's still saying a lot.
