I got my Compaq in October of this year, for me it was a great deal FREE! It was a replacement computer for my Cannon which was always broke. The only main problem that I have had with this computer is they load it down with programs that run off your start-up which in turn makes your memory resources go lower, I have managed to figure out how to remove these programs so that I have a really fast computer now.
Some items that were a big plus was the fact that it has 96 RAM and a fairly large hard drive, PLUS a scroll mouse which in my book is better than the entire computer.
My Compaq came with a fairly large assortment of pre-installed software but the one downfall to that is there are no disks, you just have your restorer disks so if something messes up you have to either do without that program or restor your computer.
Over all I am VERY pleased with my Compaq.
