| opinionated3's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Brio BA410 (P1693T#ABA) PC Desktop |
I work for a computer service company as a field technician and also as a salesman. Our company sells HP products as well as services them. If you have read any of my other reviews you will see how I feel about most HP products. I have been working with HP printing products for the entire six and half years I have been working in the computer service field. I personally think HP products are some of the best made in every category.
When it came time to replace some of our older workstations on our network in our office, we turned to HP for a solution. After researching HP's product line we came across the HP Brio BA410 PC .
The HP Brio BA410 Line of business PC's, is a powerful workstation. It can be used as a stand- alone PC or connected to a PC network. Either way you choose to use it, this PC is a great little business computer. We acquired a demo machine from HP, it was a model P1721T and it was a super workstation from the very start.
It was everything thing that I read about and more, it is a very powerful workstation. It has a Intel Pentium III 800EB processor and 128 MB of SDRAM. This is plenty fast enough to run all of our company software, plus surfing the web is a breeze. We have a small LAN setup in our office, which is small as far as LAN's go. We only have about 17 PC's and several printers connected to our server.
The current PC's we have are all mainly P200's with 32-64 MB of ram, so you could probably guess that there was a very noticeable different when we first hookup this machine. It was blazing fast and didn't even blink when we started running our accounting software package on it.

I want to mention a very important feature of this HP Brio BA410 is it comes with a software package that will help you setup a business website right out of the box.It comes with Internet Explorer 4.1, HP Brio Internet Center solution, which gives you free limited access to tools that will help you build your own online store front and start making money on the web.
Unfortunately I can't give any personal experience with the web site building, our company already had a website set up, so we have never tried it out. I can tell you one thing if I have a vote in which new PC's they go with I would definitely vote for the HP Brio BA410.
If I had to think of one bad point about the HP Brio line of Business PC's it would be that you can't just walk into a computer store and by one. You have to contact a local HP Reseller and purchase them, all you will find in the stores are HP Pavillion series PC's.
If you have any specific questions about this PC or any other HP product feel free to email me.
