Great for Mom

Pros: cheap fast fun CDBURNER

Cons: Cannot add internal drives that are accessable through the front pannel ie.. DVD, Cdrom, etc...

The Bottom Line: Good PC, HP quality, Small and Easy to use... Did I forget Fun!

My mom was looking for a new machine to replace her Packard Bell Pentium 60.

It needed to be Cheap, It needed to be quick and it needed to be fun.

The 6640c is all of the above.

I helped her buy it direct from HP in Spring of 2000. So far she has had no mechanical problems.

at the time 600 bucks was an excellent deal.

Connecting to the internet has been no problem, the multimedi a keyboard seems to be OK but there is an update on the HP website.

Buying from HP direct was actually quite nice.
