Pros: Everything cept the cons
Cons: Price still steep years after release, 56k is getting really slow really fast.

Quite an elegant little piece of hardware. There hasn't been many pieces of hardware that I can give a whole hearted stamp of approval on. Usually there is some little problem with drivers, some little flaw caused by designers rushing the product out before its ready, maybe poor or non existent support.... You get the idea.
This device is an exception to my rule of disappointment. Having tried and returned 4 other highly rated modems before ending up with this one, there is little question in my mind that this is the way to go if you want quality. The only other option would be to go and find the cheapest modem you can find (Don't pay more than $20) and wait for higher speed access to be available in your area if it isn't already.
This modem has good connect speeds, great reliability, good driver support, great backwards and cross platform compatibility, and a good command set for those of us who like to get under the hood once in a while.
