I know that you do get what you pay for -- so after being frustrated to no end with a Motorola internal and a HSP internal dropping my connection every 5 minutes and not having a reliable stable internet connection. I just decided to spend the $129.00 for the 3Com External Faxmodem. Those modems under $50.00 are not worth the headache. The two internal modems I have I plan to sell at my next garage sale!
I got way too many things to do on the Net, uploading files, scripts, graphics, etc. I don't have time for my connection to drop right in the middle of trying to attach a file and reply back to a customer. I would of course love to have Road Runner (RR) service, but I'm still not ready to kick out $40.00 a month. I'm just one of those people who plan on waiting for the price to drop before I sign up for RR. So, in the meanwhile I got to have a good connection and by the other reviews I have read -- sounds like I made the right choice!
