Looking to upgrade your connection? For easy plug & play setup look no further. This unit connects right to your serial port on the back of your PC. I highly recommend this unit to anyone that is currently trying to upgrade their old modem, or to people that hate opening up computers.
Let's face it modems can give us such a hard time. With all that irq, com-ports, drivers, and the setup instructions that confuse you to death. I want something that you take out of the box and start using. Sometimes when trying to replace an old modem you have all sorts of problems. I've seen people go bonkers just trying to get their computer open! Don't give yourself a headache if it's going to be that much trouble.
The basic setup requires a RS-232 cable, which is about $9.99. Not a big deal just plug the unit in, install the CD, which is given to you in the box, and begin using! (It is truly that easy.) The instruction Manuel is about 3 steps. :)
Now I've had some noisy modems before like when you dial out, it sounds like that punk kid that has his system up at 3:00AM, with so much bass it rattles your windows. Jesus! You’re like shhhhhh! At your computer, and praying your parents don't wake up! This has a volume control so you can make the connection noise dead silent...
Best of all it's backed by 3com/U.S. Robotics an American made product that you can trust. I feel that they have the best modems, you pay for them, but hey the modem actually works. You also get a warranty that is backed by excellent customer care!
Enjoy you Internet connection with the peace of mind you won’t lose it, (Unless your using AOL, then your on your own!)…
