micro420's Full Review: 3Com HomeConnect DSL Modem (3CP3617B-VZN)
I got this from AT&T @Home cable service. Some people had trouble installing this thing, although it was so simple. Plug in the cable internet line in the back, the AC Adapter power chord, and your network cable. Then install the driver and you're set. How hard is that? I suppose maybe there would be more detailed issue, but I had no problems.
However, it does go through "power cycles" fast. I'm not sure how to describe it, but when you leave your modem on for like 2 days, this modem will blink green telling you that the modem is offline. All you have to do is unplug it, let it cool down (literally) for about 5-10 minutes. then plug it back in and the modem will be working again for like 2 days until you have to unplug it again.
and this modem plays a short song when you turn it on and stuff. But then it gets annoying.
