I love my sony cpd 200es. I originally needed a monitor when my old 15" panasonic junk monitor developed a 2 inch blue perimeter on the screen. Thinking back to the Sony trinitron Television my parents bought in the 70's, which had wood grain panel on the sides, etc., I remembered that the TV was still going strong even in 2001. I then extrapolated my experience with sony TV's with sony monitors.
I bought mine refurbished and it has never failed me. The picture is crystal clear, with vibrant and accurate colors, especially if you have a decent video card which is capable of good 2D output. The screen is relatively flat, which is a nice feature.
one strange thing that seems apparent on all sony monitors is two horizontal filaments that run across the screen. I really don't know what they do, but if you look hard you will notice them. Believe me, they're pencil thin lines and not really noticeable unless you look for them.
what more is there to say? If you have a chance, buy this monitor, or any other sony trinitron.
