Pros: Compact size, reliability, video and audio quality
I'm the project manager for a technology integrator, serving three very large state agencies. The ViewSonic flat screen monitor has been a very big hit with one of my clients - the other two just not able to budget them in.
The space that these units save is amazing. And once you really look at a standard "large box" monitor again, you realize the depth of the average work space that it covers. One wonders just what all that "stuff" is inside that takes up all that area.
The ViewSonic flat screen monitor has great resolution and equally terrific built-in audio capabilities. No external speakers are necessary.
I've not dealt with any technical support for these units, but their connections to the CPU are quick and easy to figure out.
The only down-side is the flat screen's price. Basically, running well over $1,000 per unit, I would expect the price to fall as demand continues and components become more readily available. However, these have proven - at least for my company and our clients - to be sturdy, low-maintenance, and rarely failing right out of the box.
