The Bottom Line: This is an ergonomic, good-looking mouse that you won't tire of. Because it's an optical mouse it never jams and always is accurate. I would highly recommend this mouse.
My Apple pro optical mouse came with my iMac DV SE. I use the mouse every day and really like it. It is a HUGE improvement over those tiny colored mice that came with the old iMacs and G3's. They were too small for your hand and had a weird button.
This mouse fits comfortably in to my hand, and I like the button design. To click, you just press down anywhere on the front of the mouse; it's really hard to explain if you have never used one. It is a kind of seemless clicking, just put pressure on the mouse and you click.
The mouse tracks really well (tracking is how well the arrow on the screen responds to the movements of the mouse.) You can adjust the sensitivity of the mouse on the bottom simply by rotating a dial. The Apple Pro Mouse is an optical mouse, so it works with a laser, or some other kind of red beam of light, that senses movement. You can actually move the arrow on the screen with the mouse hovering about 1/8th of an inch above the mouse pad. This mouse also looks really cool in the dark because red light comes out of the clear plastic. The laser does hurt if you look directly into it, but why would you want to?
The Apple Pro Mouse is made of clear plastic. You can see the circuit board, and the Apple logo from the top. It is a simple, elegant design that won’t appear trendy and passé in a few years.
This mouse looks really good with all iMacs and has a basic design. It's not a weird shape, and it never gets uncomfortable. The only drawbacks are that it doesn't have a scroll button (no mice that work with Macs do) and that it is expensive if you buy it without a computer. This mouse plugs right into the Apple Pro Keyboard (also included with all Apple computers) and is ready to go. It has a short cord and will plug into the right or left side of an Apple Pro Keyboard. This is by far the best mouse apple has ever sold with its computers
The Apple Pro Mouse has no rollers or tracking mechanisms to wear out or clog, and no mouse balls to fish out and clean. Besides all that, there's no ...More at eBay
