I have received 2 Trackman Live(s) over a 3 year period. Initially, I really liked the product (except for the continual cleaning and changing batteries. But it was defective--impossible to get the ball to track to left or it would just freeze and or would not respond to an upward scroll while surfing on the Net. New replacement worked fine for about a year and then the same problems. Logitech no longer produces the product. The only unit they offer that has the same features is the Presenter at a price of close to $200. Customer service was of little help when the second unit started to fail--because the ORIGINAL 3 year warranty period had expired(by 2 months) even though they sent me a total replacement after year 2. The original date of purchase still applies. I recommend that you wear a glove if you plan on using the trackball alot to eliminate buildup of any oils from your hand--you can not get the trackball out for a total cleaning -- it is permanent in the unit itself.
