| ericgreene's Full Review: Microsoft Intelli Explorer (B75-00001) Mouse |
A couple of years ago when my family finally went all out on a new computer from "Gateway" (to replace our 486 with 8mg of ram) one of the first things I noticed was the mouse. Gateway had included a Microsoft IntelliMouse Pro.
I had never before seen a mouse like this one. Between the left and right mouse button was a button that had the ability roll up and down. Little did I know that this magic little button would change the way I used the computer in so many ways.
The Features of the scroll button :
- When rolled up and down the scroll button moves the page in the direction that the scroll is rolled swords.
- When the button is pressed in the the page can be scrolled up and down simply by moving the mouse up and down. To go back to regular "mouseing" one must only click the left mouse button.
Why is this so great?
At first I did not use this feature at all, but now I find that I feel odd at a computer without this mouse. It makes life much easier, and browsing much faster.
How about the mouse design, isn't it unusual?
It has the feel of a normal mouse, maybe a tad larger, but it fits the hand perfectly.
How about durability?
I have owned this mouse for two years and it still functions as well as the day I received it.
But is it hard to hook up?
Not at all, I just plugged it into my computer running Windows 98 and the computer did the rest.
