This is the most awesome mouse I've found. Usb connectivity makes it easy to set up and its made by Microsoft so you never have to sweat finding the right drivers/software to work with your windows based operating system. This is the third computer we've used it on and we've gone from Windows98 to second edition, onto 2000Pro, and now WindowsXp Pro. There's no ball to clean. The infrared laser makes precision movement a reality. My game scores definitely improved!

Its been working hard now , continuous daily usage for over 2 years by two pc hounds, and it still functions like the day I unwrapped it. It has a heavier feel but its obvious that lends to the quality of this mouse. The buttons haven't gone soft. The scroll wheel keeps going strong. Comfort, did I forget that... its contoured to fit and feels nice in the hand. Stylish silver tone finish also makes it stand out amongst its lesser made cousins.

One other feature that deserves attention is that you can use it anywhere without the need of a mousepad. This may not mean much to you and at first it didn't seem that important to me either but I've come to love it. See I have this antique desk with a slide out notation arm and its the perfect place for my mouse but with the mousepad on it I could never slide it back into the desk. (Ok, till you want to make use of the drawers below it) Now I mouse right on the bare wood and love it. Its well designed... the extra buttons on the side were very easy to get used to. And finally, as far as cleaning goes, there are four little feet I wipe off when I dust.
