Pros: No mouse ball to clean, Precise, 5 buttons

The Bottom Line: This is a good mouse especially if you surf the web a lot and you can find a deal on it as I did.

| BlackCatt's Full Review: Microsoft Intelli Explorer (B75-00001) Mouse |
I recently purchased the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer to go with the new computer that I purchased. After using my friends on occasion I figured it was worth the $42 I paid for it.
Now that I have been using it for a few weeks I would have to say it was money well invested. No longer do I need a mouse pad which I like because I can use it anywhere I have open space on my desk. Using optics instead of the ball that regular mouses do is a big plus because there is no ball / rollers to clean. In my opinion that was real annoying. I have heard some people complain that the optical isn't as precise as the traditional mouse's but it is plenty precise for me. The extra buttons are also a great added feature to the mouse. Especially the 4th and 5th buttons which I have setup as the back and fwd buttons for a browser. These buttons (along with the wheel) allow me to surf the web almost without using my keyboard and a lot faster than just a wheel mouse alone.
My only quarrel with the mouse is the placement of the 4th and 5th buttons on the side are a little awkward. I am sure that people with different hands than mine may find it either more or less awkward but other than that I would have to say that this mouse was $42 well spent.
