I cannot say enough nice things about this. I will give you some brief background because this should be a brief review. 1989, No real mouse, keyboard, 2400 baud modem, dos 5.0.
Now 56k modem is Slow to me, Windows is still a piece of junk but a standard and I Love Linux. but this is about the Mouse. Being able to do things faster, access data quicker, a Visual Representation. So how are you going to control it, a touchscreen would be Real Nice. but we aren't there yet, maybe a year or two. Until then, No trackball, No ball, but you move it and it works. I dunno how, a camera inside I guess, hehe. It works, and it works wonders. You can use this product on Virtually ANY surface, ANY grade (meaning any angle). you can put it on your lap if you are lazy, it still works. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS MOUSE IS.... (keep reading)
if you play QUAKE III Arena, and keep losing, get frustrated, and Bang the mouse. This is MUCH more delicate than the mice I am used to, Trust me don't Abuse your Intellimouse or you will have to buy a new one like I did. I love it so much I couldn't really live without it. This time I got a 2 year warranty, which I recommend. its not fragile like Glass, but if you bang it hard enough, No more Mouse =(
I've warned you, and I've told you. Buy this thing, or something like it, the major reason is. You don't EVER have to clean your mouse again.
its yucky, its icky in there, there's stuff you don't want to touch, shouldn't ever have to clean, bits of human skin, debris, sticky stuff, way too much coca cola (if you're like me) and its just yucky. Never clean it again cuz it works fine.
I am an expert in the computer field, when I make a recommendation you should listen because I have done my homework, tried the options, and almost always choose the superior product. on a Price/Performance ratio..
The best thing you can do is to make your life easier, this product will do that, its not a hefty price, go pick one up today if you can spare. I do recommend having a USB connection for this mouse though, just to have the full abilities of it...
