Well, do you remember the original intellimouse, the one with the flywheel in between only two buttons. That design won it a whole bunch of awards. Microsoft tried to improve upon this old design by adding more buttons and tweaking the shape a little with and, of course, making it more high tech by making it optical.....big deal.
I bought one myself, thinking that I will have better stability when doing precise graphics or anything of the sort. No dice, its the same thing as a plain old mouse. Most users should know that you can actually set the resolution at which a plain old mouse works at, which means in plain language that you can make you mouse more sensitive using software settings rather then buying a new high tech mouse.
All in all, the feel of the new mouse isnt good, it just doesnt fit my hand and the extra buttons, well, they're placed in such places that if you let go of the mouse and then want to grab it again, you wind up pushing them, and thats what makes it suck. As for the optical deal, its cool because you dont have to clean it and you can use it anywhere, but it doesnt matter much if you cant hold the mouse correctly.
