The Acer Travelmate 342T is a great notebook! Big value in less than 4 pounds! I purchased my notebook online and the minute I received it (the next day) it was up and running. So far it has been very reliable with tons of useful features - large hard drive, plenty RAM, nice size screen, comfortable keyboard, removable CD/DVD combo drive, etc. The one drawback I find is the relatively short battery life - about three hours. It does recharge fairly quickly, however. With the exception of a few clunkers I have borrowed from the office for road use, this is my first real experience with a portable, and I must say I am impressed. Don't regret the purchase for a second.
