Well I have been an Apple user for many years now. I do own PC's as well. I bought an iBook 600 G3 when this Powerbook was new. I didnt have $2400 to spend on a laptop so all I could do was wish. LOL!
I found this at a pawn shop and the price was right so I now own a TiBook.
This computer is a joy to use. Fast, seemless operation.
Very intuitive and easy to use even for a newbie.
I have 256MB of Ram that I plan on upgrading soon. This machine never slows down. I have never had a crash of the OS on any Mac. No exceptions here. While I have had programs lock up do to a Ram shortage. That will happen on any computer made though.
The looks are a in a class by themselves. Everything feels well made and solid. Though thin, VERY thin the screen doesnt ever feel flimsy or fragile. I know when I first saw how thin it actually was I thought that it would be flimsy. Its not.
Where ever you go you will be stared at on this machine. Even PC users look. Nothing else looks like a Tibook.
The screen is about the best looking I have seen on any laptop. Its clear, colors are vibrant. This thing is WIDE. Lots of veiwing space on this laptop. DVD playback is great too.
TiBooks arent cheap new or used, but you get what you pay for. I have yet to feel a PC laptop that feels this solid and well made.
This is like a work of art. The Mercedes Benz of the computer world if you would. I would encourage anyone who wants one to get one. You wont be sorry. If you are sorry, Macs have very good resale value. Unlike PC which drops like a rock in price.
