Pros: Beautiful, light, fast
Cons: Expensive. Quircky shortcommings like old ATI 8mb graphics, no CD-RW, small keyboard
The Bottom Line: if you are wed to Mac and Mac OS then this is the ONLY laptop to have.

| libera's Full Review: Apple PowerBook G4 15.2 in. (M8362LL/A) Mac Notebo... |
The Mac Titanium G4 is at once both heroic and tragic. It is heroic in its high-tech, light weight case, the speed of it's G4 500mhz processor and its gorgeous 15.2" widescreen TFT display. It is tragic in its quircky short commings. Things like the smallish keyboard when room exsists to make it larger, the completley antiquated 8mb ATI M4 graphics chip, and the lack of an available DVD/CD-RW combo drive in a nearly $4000 computer.
DVD's look gorgeous on this machine. The processor can handle the most demanding of tasks, and its light weight make you WANT to take it with you everywhere. It still has all of the drawback of compatibility with PC's and a dearth of software but this is nothing new and of no great concern to Macophiles.
Wanna make this a nearly perfect computer? Enlarge the keyboard, use a combo DVD/CD-RW drive, use a 32mb nVidia GeforceGo graphics chip, and of course, lower the price by about a grand!
I think the main benefit of this computer will be that it forces everyone else to re-think how they design and build laptops in the future. Hopefully this will lead to better designed PC laptops with lower prices
