This is a nice computer for someone who is into Macs. That's only about 4% (compared to about 40% for PCs), though. But the laptop has something for everyone. First of all, it has lots of inputs - USB, FireWire (IEEE 1394), and more. So you can hook your camcorder, digital camera, whatever to it. It also has a built-in modem (56k). The screen is another plus - while most laptops are 800x600, this laptop's got a 1024x768 screen. The size is 12.1", diagonally. It has Ethernet if you have a cable modem. It's also got composite video and AV output ports, for outputs to a TV or another screen (great for presentations or watching DVDs). And speaking of DVDs, the iBook is available with a special DVD/CD-RW combo for just $1,799. The only real problem is that there are limited software capabilities for the MacOS. Near the end of the year, Connectix plans to release VirtualPC for Mac OS X, which will allow you to run most Windows programs (and even the Windows operating system) on your Mac machine.
