The future of computers the way I see it, is somewhat in trouble. The computer is a prime example of it. It seems to be selling on the amount of gadgets it has. Do you know what A "Analog Modulation Protocal" is? I surely don't. Anyway I don't really have anything good to say about Ibooks, because they are a MAC product. Do we really need to have to different types of computers? IBM style computers are the dominant computers over the entire world. Why then, does MAC still try to hang on to a dying cause?
Now that I have had my little run about on MAC's let me show you the features of this notebook.
The good
Internet ready - The computer has a modem and an ethernet adapter in it, so it is all ready to go for information sharing.
5 Hour battery - This is pretty good for a laptop style computer, this is coming out of a lithium Ion battery. I am impressed.
Height 3.4cm - very sleek and slim, you could take this baby anywhere.
DVD-ROM - Watch movies almost anywhere.
The Bad
66Mhz bus speed - very slow compared to other notebooks, I would like to see at least 100Mhz on my bus
floppy drive - none. Yes floppy drives are still used alot, and yes you need one, and no this computer does not offer one.
10GB hard drive - This is a very small hard drive for a computer that is basically made to be used on the internet. Those online files can rack up quickly and I don't think that 10GB's is quite enough.
Touchpad - I don't know about you but I just can not stand touch pads.
8MB video - This is what the computer comes with, and I have to say it's a bit shallow so you should upgrade. Wait a second you can't upgrade? That's right 8MB is the max that you can have.
500Mhz processor - This is probably the worst of all this notebooks features. With processors topping off at 2Ghz now I don't see why anyone would want this slow of a CPU.
The Ugly
As you can see the bad's have the good's beat to the ground. Don't sell yourself short on a notebook like this one. If you are going to go, go better than this.
