I have had my new notebook about a month and am very pleased so far. It is considerable faster than my old one and has a very clear and crisp display. The only problem I have is that I think the modem is too sensitive for my connection. I know that my phone line isn't the strongest, but it never affected my old computer. I have been getting kicked off all the time. I have not figured out yet if there is a setting to maybe lessen the sensitivity. I have called compac twice, and was very satisfied with their help desk. I had a Tosiba before, and so far this is a far superior unit than that.
