| andreabird's Full Review: Fujitsu LIFEBOOK C6557 (FPC040393) PC Notebook |
Well, I'm writing this epinion in bed using my new Fujitsu Lifebook. My husband purchased this for me as a gift after we found out that I've been placed on permanent bed rest due to some pregnancy complications. I still have 12 weeks to go, so he knew I'd need something to keep me busy.
First of all, this machine is really snazzy looking. It's all a metallic blue and silver color. The screen is large and the keyboard is full-sized.
The machine came with a 1.0 GHz processor, 128Mg of RAM and is very suitable for what I use it for, word processing and internet. The perks it came with were a DVD player/CDRW which has come in handy for watching movies while I'm stuck in bed and there's nothing on TV and if I read another book my eyes will cross.
My husband also purchased some wireless networking cards which have allowed me to remain completely wireless and still use the internet. Aint technology something?!
The only problems I ran into with machine was that the touchpad is located right under the space bar, and my thumbs will inadvertently tap it and, depending on where the cursor is, sometimes pop up windows that I don't intend to. Also, the machine is a tiny bit heavy at 7.3 pounds, but since I don't plan on frequently lugging this around in a briefcase or through airports, that really isn't an issue for me.
I love this notebook computer. I've waited a very long time for one, and while I'd rather not be going through the troubles with my pregnancy, I'm glad that since I DO have to go through this I can have my great new computer to keep me company.
