| ender0051's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Pavilion N3270 (F1917A) PC Noteboo... |
The N3270 is Hewlett Packards "Middle of the Line" Notebook PC and as is the case with all Pavilion computers...it was made for the Retail market (whereas the Omnibook line is made for more of a computer use). People who need a functional PC but dont have quite the deskspace for a full size PC, or reqire the mobility that a notebook computer can bring.
The N3270 features a 475Mhz K6-2 processor. and also has a decent display size (14.1"). The display itself is an active TFT display, making for easier viewing from different angles. Also the N3270 is one of the only notebooks its size and price, that features a built in DVD drive. There is also a 56kbps modem. and a lithium-ion battery was included for a small cost to further cut the weight of the computer (it comes in at just about 7 pounds). There is also 64 MB of ram standard, which can be up-graded to 256
As far as drawbacks go on this PC....sure toshiba can build you the same thing and make it weigh 3.5lbs and only be an inch thick, but not for $1900. besides......do you really need a notebook PC that small?
For what you get and the price its at, this has got to be one of the best deals from HP this year
