| bos2677's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Pavilion N3330 (F1927A) PC Noteboo... |
I purchased the H-P 3330 for my college senior who just changed her major to Computer Science. It had all the features she needs including a built in modem, 64 meg RAM, a 533 MHz AMD K6-2 , and a TFT screen. The unit worked flawlessly right out of the box. So well that I haven't had to call customer service at all yet. The screen is exceptionally bright and viewable. This is true for all the H-P TFTs I have seen. Also has a feature that allows you to use it as a CD player without turning on the PC. I was pleasantly surprised that there were not a lot of H-P homegrown programs that load up at startup and hog all your memory (and realtime). Only one, so I didn't have to do much surgery to get it down to its best performance point. One wish is that the HDD was bigger than 5G. I was surprised that it had only one PS2 port, but this is not a problem. You just have to use a serial or USB Mouse instead of PS2 if you want both an external mouse AND keyboard. This unit would benefit anyone who wants a bargain laptop with lots of features.
