| Kenchiw's Full Review: Lenovo ThinkPad 570 (5703BUK) PC Notebook |
This new product 570 is a two piece notebook that help you leave those unnecessary stuffs behind for easy traveling(due to light weight). But I am disappointed at it's short battery life, only last about 90 minutes on one charge. It's shorter battery life is one fatal weakness as you compare it with other similar notebook. So if you travel often and don't use the power outlets most of the time, I think you should leave 570 out of the consideration list.
On the other hand, 570 got some really nice feature of both notebook and desktop. Convertible with Pentium II-333, complete internal floppy and CD-ROM or some other drives.
Another great thing about ThinkPad is that it adopted and use the best of it's competitor's feature and turning into it's own unique notebook. I don't find any other 4 pound notebook giving a 13.3 inch screen, then also support 56K modem and also option to add on(such as second battery, DVD ROM Drive, LS-120 Drive, Zip Drive and a second hard drive, etc) Well, the most important factor of all, it's price is fair and reasonable for it's class of notebook, around $3,000.
