Wow, this machine is sweet. Yeah, I really didn't expect it, because of the whole stigma of IBM in the late 1980s. It seemed that the machines that IBM put out were slower and more expensive than all of the compatibles. But in the past couple of years, IBM has really stepped it up.
This 600e, Pentium II 400 MHz really flies, but what I like the most about it are the accessories. It has a DVD-Rom drive, and this can be replaced by the included Zip drive.
When IBM first came out with their thinkpads, they had this revolutionary red dot. Lots of people liked/loved it - not me. I give them respect for coming up with an ingenious little input device - but if I have the choice, I always use a mouse. That is why I use the Logitech First Mouse with scroll wheel.
This is a very fun machine - but I haven't yet used it for anything needing much power. I do recommend it and the accessories.
