I had received this laptop with enrollment into my college and I am not so thrilled with it.
It is available in a number of different configurations with the major differences being screen size and processor (12", 14" or 15" screen and a 500Mhz Celeron or 700Mhz PIII processor). I had received the 700Mhz PIII with a 12 GB HD, 15" screen and an upgrade to 192MB Ram
This machine is fast - it boots into Win98 SE in under a one half of a minute including startup items. Also, it's not all that heavy considering the weight of other laptops that I've had in the past.
That is the good news, now is the bad.
This computer is prone to breaking down my school all gets the same laptops and all they do is break down. I have had nothing but a string of bad luck with the product. I pride myself on the fact that I take very good car of my stuff, but this laptop would be thrown in the garbage right now if it weren’t my lifelines in college.
The famous “blue-screens” pop up over and over again, and this computer freezes up like none other that I have seen before. If you add any devices like mice or keyboards into this computer there is a little delay from the time you actually do something to the time it actually happens.
Right now in my honest opinion, this computer, which I am using now to write this opinion, is nothing more than a sophisticated toy to waste your money on. You will be sorry if you buy this computer trust me.
