| 2bad's Full Review: Sony VAIO SR7K PC Notebook |
The Sony SR7K is a very good machine when it comes to power on the road. The unit is made for portability, weighing in at arould 3 lbs and about 1 inch thin, it can be carried almost any where. Not only is it light, but it is made of quality components that provide the speed and power needed for the traveling business professional. The processor screams 600MHz, coupled with 128 MB of RAM, how can it run slow?? Storage-wise, it comes with a 12 GB hard disk, which should be enough for most types of data, such as your trusty powerpoint presentations and valuable word documents.
In addition to all this, the unit comes with digital video editing software which enables you to create, edit, and import video from the likes of a digital camera / camcorder. Just something thrown in to keep you occupied on those lenghthy plane trips.
I would recommend this unit to the business professional who finds himself or herself on the move all the time, and needs a light portable unit with plenty of speed.
This unit comes only with Windows 2000, and there is no option for win98, and any drives such as floppy or cdrom have to be external. Those are probably the only bad points to the unit.
