Pros: Lightweight, very portable, Windows 2000 Professional works well.
Cons: No serial or parallel port, keyboard a little small. Needs IR as well.
The Bottom Line: Great computer if you need something that is very portable but not user-friendly if you need to add a lot of software or hardware to it.

| runrunjete's Full Review: Sony VAIO SR7K PC Notebook |
The SR7K is a lightweight, cute looking notebook that commands a lot of attention. My friends are always curious about it when they see me using it. The best point about it is the operating system it comes with, Windows 2000 Professional that works great. The battery life is about 3 to 4 hours when used with the brightest screen setting.
The biggest problems I had with this laptop is the lack of a serial or parallel port for synching my Palm devices with or my printer too. I had to use the USB port to connect to the Hewlett-Packard printer I have. Also, the keyboard is rather small and will not be popular with people with large hands. In order to use it, you will need a USB mouse if you're not used to the touchpad that comes with the SR7K. The lack of a floppy or CD-Rom drive also makes it difficult for one to add software to the laptop but I connected a Zip drive via the USB port and had to use my desktop to transfer information using Zip disks.
The laptop is great if you're looking for something that is very portable and for general business use but for advance multimedia use, you're better off getting a larger computer.
