| 2bad's Full Review: Sony VAIO XG29 PC Notebook |
Sony's XG29 has a lot of features that makes it one of the best laptops on the market. Hot swappable bays, the XG dock, lightweight, and Intercooler Technology are just a few items on that list.
The bays allow you to add or remove drives without having to shut down the unit, which saves a lot of time! Secondly, this feature enables you to use several drives, such as DVD or CDRW without having to reboot the machine.
The XG optional docking station makes this unit even more unique. The docking station includes several video out jacks such as RCA/VGA/S-video, usb ports, and the normal parallel/serial. I would not think so highly of this unit if it did not have that docking station, so if you decide to purchase the unit, please get the docking station with it!!
The XG29 only weighs in at around 6lbs and is a little less than 2" thick. This is a very light, and thin machine..perfect for the traveling professional.
This unit is loaded down with power...just take a look at the specs.
Pentium3 750MHz
128MB SDRAM... expandable to 256MB
18GB hard drive
14" display

This machine is built for speed, anywhere you need it. If you're looking for a speedy unit that supports a LOT of multimedia applications with the optional docking station, this is the unit for you. It's fast, lean, and mean.
