I use it for doing work while on a train commuting into the office. Win2K takes a while to boot up, but the battery lasts a few hours. The display is tiny but great. And the keyboard is definitely too tiny to make this a replacement for your desktop. But 64 meg RAM, 9 gig hard drive, built in modem, and slot for your network card make it perfect for what I need.
It does generate a lot of heat, and has the exhaust fan on the bottom, but for my one hour of use at a time, it works fine. You just need to be careful to not cover the exhaust fan.
