I've had my 3480 for about a week now and I simply love it. For what it's designed to do it's an excellent PC. It's super lightweight and fast, feels rugged and well built, has a nice keyboard feel, and has an excellent (albeit) small display. The day I got it I bumped up the memory to 128mb and loaded Windows 2000 (the only way to go in my opinion)...its been running without a hitch ever since. In contrast to some previous reviews I don't think the machine feels hot at all, even after being on for hours. In fact, I think this machine runs a lot cooler than the Sony Vaio Superslim 505...AND...at least with this system you can get Windows 2000 drivers - try getting Windows 2000 drivers for the the newest Superslims that ship with 98...good luck! Sony will tell you that you have to buy the systems that ship with Windows 2000 (the JEK and LEK) even though the hardware is identical. For those that need ultraportability and don't need to travel with all the attachments (CD, floppy, etc.) all the time, the 3480 is the way to go!
