First of all, I'll say that this computer has the goods under the hood. I haven't found anything yet that will not run well on this machine. There is ample memory and processor speed to support the most demanding games and applications. Utility and performance are top-notch...so much so, that I will discuss it no further. Now, on to the IMPORTANT qualities of a laptop - construction and style. This machine earns marks for its light weight; I barely notice I'm carrying it around. The hinges of the display screen are well-designed and thus far have been quite durable. The display is bright, easy to read, and has excellent contrast. This machine is also considerably thinner than my last laptop, which closely resembled a Webster's Dictionary. The key travel and feel are good but not remarkable. The Tecra has a few quirks, as with any piece of computing equipment. The Accupoint mouse tool - well, it sucks. It drifts. It's not very easy to make precise motions. I wish the Tecra had a Touch Pad. Oh well. Also, the fan is a bit loud; sounds like a tiny turbine engine. The audio isn't too bad for a laptop, but I've certainly heard better. All in all, this is a nice machine that I would easily recommend to anyone looking to upgrade from a slower laptop, or needing portable, powerful computing in a stylish package.
