Pros: Easy to use, solid design, highly intuitive
Cons: Power hungry, crashes occasionally, small RAM
The Bottom Line: I recommend the HP Jornada 545 if you're an Outlook user and require an sleek and elegant portable device.

I've had my Jornada 545 with me for 6 months now and feel it is the one piece of electronic equipment I can't live without. The greatest feature, or I should say features, is the amount of things I can do with this unit. Firstly, synchronizing up with Outlook Exchange mail at work allows me to have e-mail on the go. All my appointments are synched with Outlook and the reminders have allowed me to not be late for a meeting once! The contact list is excellent, much better than my previous PDA, a Palm IIIe. Also, the Character Recognizer is much better than Palm's Graffiti in my opinion but even better is Microsoft's Transcriber! Whenever I show this to my colleagues, they are absolutely amazed by this program!
The 545 is packaged in a nice sleek metal case. It's very formal and elegant, unlike other Pocket PC's I've seen. It is probably the most professional looking PDA, very important when taking it with you to important business meetings in which you don't want to draw attention to yourself when you're taking notes, or doodling, in my case!
But the Jornada 545 is not without it's shortcomings. Even though I do have a 64MB Compact Flash card I use to store all my programs onto, the 16MB of RAM is just not enough space to store my e-mail, contacts and calendar. I wish there was a way to store these onto my CF card?! Also, I've had my 545 crash on me occassionally requiring a hard reset, most likely due to a misbehaving program? And not to mention the 545 is very power hungry. I get about 6 hours of non-continuous use before it starts complaining of a low battery (and I don't even use it to play MP3 or games!!).
