Re: hp jornada 548 vs. compaq ipaq 3650 (Reply to this comment)

I DO like both but the iPaq has a better screen and tougher, better looking case. The layout of the Jornada is better (to me) but I'd go with the iPaq out of personal preference. If possible try them both out in a store that has display models.

Good luck!

If you had taken the time to read (or asked me) you would have seen why I have an "in" on some of these products. (Only one of which I believe I had before its sale date - the iPaq))Not that I owe you an explanation but I have a friend whose father owns an electronics firm. He allowed me to borrow different models as they are my hobby. I have mentioned this a number of times. Eventually, we worked out a deal where I would hold a meeting with his salespeople on the finer points of each so that they could be better prepared, sell more units and earn more commission, of course. While this was taking place I happened upon Epinions and was able to write about my hobby as well.

It was purely for fun. Wow, this is great - I get to use the new stuff and then write about them too I naively thought. I think I earned all of $10 my first few months which didn't matter because that wasn't why I was here. Then a funny thing happened. As IS share increased my a certain amount of "jealousy" became obvious. What was once fun - sharing my knowledge of these bacame just another source of stress as certain advisors decided they knew better and started attacking. One of whom, we know who, signed up yesterday under a different name and went straight to each of my PDA reviews and trashed them all. Very convenient.

Sorry Steve, and your kind, I enjoy using the different PDAs and will long after Epinions. I'm sorry also that my "in" bothers you or that we "compete" for the same reviews. Those things never bothered me. I always felt there was room for everyone here - not a select few who think they can control the site.

For the most part, I try not to rate the reviews of others who are reviewing an item I have also reviewed. It seems to be a conflict of interest that you benefit by trashing my review but right now, that's the way it is. I choose to take the high road.

I'm sorry you don't like my reviews and sorrier still that you choose to be mean spirited about it but PDAs will continue to be my hobby, I will continue to look forward to each new advance in the genre and I will continue to share my feelings about each with those that are interested enough to read them.

You make pretty strong accusations for someone who didn't even take the time to ask me anything personally. You do what you have to do Steve and feel good about it because I will NOT revenge rate and get down to the same level as some people.

There are too many good people here to let the few petty and jealous creeps ruin it.

Well, it's time to say it pal. You are a disgrace to advisors. Your padded reviews with misspellings and grammatical errors that go on for 11 pages do not constitute fine writing. I tried to read your review of the m100 but was both annoyed with your spelling and bored with the overblown content. What goes around, comes around. In the past I have just stayed away from your reviews rather than getting into a snit as you've done with many others on this site. I will count to 10 and continue to walk away rather than choose to rate your reviews and, if needed, expose them for the overblown ego stroking pieces that (to date)I've seen that they are.

Perhaps you are misguided as to what this site is. It is for one's "opinion" of items which can assist potential buyers. The only style acceptible to you is your own apparently.

My review stands as is. I believe it more than serves its audience of Epinions members and potential buyers from outside Epinions.

And THAT, your Royal Highness, is MY opinion.

for the informative review. You are the King when it comes to PDA reviews and have started compiling a list so my wife can review which she'll buy me for Christmas. ;)

Great Work!
