Pros: Very durable case and the features to impress your friends.
Cons: Nothing really!
The Bottom Line: I love my Jornada because of all the great features it has (better than my dad's Sony peg T-615) and by the stability/functionality of Windows CE.

| jesuspleases's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Jornada 548 Pocket PC |
Of course this is not the most powerful PDA out there but the price is unbeatable for the value. Now some people may be wondering what the difference between the 547 and 548 is. The ONLY difference is the 548 includes a cradle and the 547 does not. (Keep this in mind is buying from ebay!)
Ease of Use
Windows CE is very similar to use. This is my first PDA and I had no trouble picking it up. I do however recommend getting "Gigabar" from download.com (free) to easily switch between and close windows. Pocket Word, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Money and Pocket Excel are used and sync automatically with PC. Outlook also syncs with address on Jornada. There are many free games and apps available from download.com that I enjoy fully. Overall everything is easy and there is lots of room for new programs and games. The OS is very stable and never crashes on me.
LCD
The screen is easy to read (16 bit colour) indoors but needs to be adjusted to use in bright sunlight. The screen can be set to power off as well as the backlight to save batteries. Pictures are affected slightly by the 16 bit colour but still make a great pocket photo album.
Case
The case is a solid plastic flip cover. The result is a very durable PDA. The lid only opens to approx 135 degrees. Some people complain about this but I find it just fine and I like how the stylus fits into the lid.
Batteries
The battery is an internal memory free battery. I love this feature because I charge it any time I have the chance, since it charges so quick. Also instead of dragging the cradle around to charge it there is a small AC wire to use. Battery life is great for me (depending on screen brightness/contrast), a solid day of heavy use (mp3, games, etc...).
Compact Flash
I have 128MB and it is great. I store 35 mp3,the Bible, backup, pictures or programs whatever! To play mps's off card simply make a folder under "Storage Card" named "My Documents" and store data in it. I only know of one way to upload to the card and that is to search for "mobile device" on your PC. Then find the storage card under it and simply copy files into it.
Overall
The calendar keeps me organized, the games and mp3's keep me occupied and overall I impress all my friends. I also love how I can write and draw directly on any part of the screen in notes. PS. I paid $275 US for the Jornada 548, 2 cradles and 128MB of compact flash form ebay. I recommend this to any first time PDA user (you won't be disappointed) and to any one else who is looking to fit this price range.
